do:
dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/libxv1_4.3.0.dfsg.1-4_i386.deb

You should do this only when you are sure that two packages share the
same file or that a file from one package is supposed to replace a
file from another package.

However, I've done this for every "trying to overwrite:" error I've seen
with debian unstable for several years without noticable problems.
