I also have Knoppix CD ---- Knoppix cd should make it easy - get to a terminal window and as root, lspci -vv That said, if Knoppix correctly identifies the hardware, then debian woody should too since it is my understanding, it is debian woody (mostly) that is the core of Knoppix.
