Favorite distros is like talking religion or politics,
so let's not go down that road....If a newbie shows up
and wants an installation, there should be someone who
can assess their needs, they might even show up with
an older computer that might be a pain to install....I
use Mepis but it can be a pain to install on some
machines, I couldn't get it or Knoppix to install on
my wife's E-machine (circa 1999) but will try to get a
Debian based distro on it when she goes on vacation at
the end of the month...I would like to help out this
month but have family committments...when I do help
out it would be to help with someone migrating from
