I suppose it could be an overheat problem, because its BIOS has "anti-burn" protection, and the recent logs show absolutely no cause for the lockups. (I've put a thermal sensor on the CPU's heat sink, and the readings don't look bad, but I suppose I need to unclip it and stick it right on the CPU to get an accurate reading.) I've added a fan, but I'm still looking at other options. I agree, Fry's is quite good about taking things back. I just think I can save a little $$ by going over the internet. > Did you already research case, fans, power supply, chipset, supported > RAM, drive types etc.? > > Frank For the time being I intend to use an existing case, and existing drives. I may add a big drive later. I like to stick to older technology because you can often get a smokin' deal on drives at Fry's. > > On Fri, 2004-04-30 at 12:59, Vaughn Treude wrote: > > On Friday 30 April 2004 17:36, you wrote: > > > Hello, > > > > > > I look at pricewatch.com for the ballpark on how much.
