I am not sure who the first was but SQL is the psuedonym for Structered Query Language. MSSQL is the only one linked to any real meaning, it is of course Microsoft SQL. It differs a bit from to others which are open source. All databases use SQL in some way or another, and to keep up with ANSI standards.
