While waiting for a real wizard to come along, I can help you make the question a little more answerable. Typical of Linux, there are multiple ways to burn CDs. So it will help if you can recount the steps, or give us the URL to "the manual" you were following, if it is available on the Web. Otherwise its title might be searchable ... And when it gave you error 255, what step had you just taken? That is, what button did you click on what window, or what command did you type in? A common trick is to use "copy and paste" to include the gory details off your screen in the e-mail. We'd rather have too many details than too few.
