I took my computer to a friends place (for reasons that are rather 
embarrasing) and he stuck his pendrive into a USB port and the drive 
appeared. VERY COOL!

So I thought to myself that meant that the computer would see the camera but 
that I couldn't use the cradle. That thought excited me so! Then I went home 
to put my experiment to the test. It did not work. What a bummer.

I think I need to bring the comuter to a plug meeting.
