But I know this version of X works with this card, because it worked until my configuration got mysteriously hosed. (Is there any way to force it?) Also, I tried taking my Mandrake 9 CD's and updating to a newer version of XFree86. That was a total waste of time, because this version required libgcc_s, which Mandrake 8 doesn't have. I couldn't install libgcc_s from the the Mandrake 9 because it requred a newer version of libc than I have, and I know that changing libc is prone to break a system. I thought maybe I could find the source for libgcc_s and try to compile it, but that proved to be a daunting task. I'm probably going to back up my current partition and blow it away with a reinstall.
