Your address had to be in some file on the victim's computer. I've got an account on a Linux box that is an advertised address and gets lots of spam. I often get messages from some Norton tool somewhere saying I had sent a virus. They enclose a copy of the message - yet another Windows worm. Didn't come from *that* box. I just got a copy of the virus from an address at aztecfreenet.org -- that's a Solaris based system, and the mail system is a super-safe, extremely primitive text based arrangement.
