I'm hoping some of Novell's behavior might rub off on SuSE. Iso > images of complete Netware install disks have been downloadable for > quite a long time. Basically SuSE wants to be a proprietary software company and acts like one in many ways. While they do contribute some back, they are not in my opinion a strong community leader. Therefore, it doesn't tickle me to see them trying to take a dominant position. If I remember correctly, SCO at one time was putting some money into Linux and people were glad to see a legitimate "unix" vendor step up. Well we know how that turned out. I guess my being from Missouri leaves me with the "Show Me" philosphy. Yeah they are part of Novell now, but frankly Novell has a poor track record too. Remember Caldera? So until they show me that they are serious I will dismiss them as another leech. -Derek
