I will agree and disagree here. The commercials are aimed at computer users that are not Linux users, so as to lure them into the realm of the penguin. However the Divx format would have been nice, but there is the choice or Real Player for Linux and/or wine with a player of choice! If I am not mistaken it is possible to install and run media player with wine and I know Quicktime will work. I have not personally tried it as I am using an old Compaq with just not enough RAM to make it happen, but I am using quite a few MS apps. via wine and I have no issues.. Oh yeah I am using SuSE 8.2. I have also used RH 5.2, 6, 7, 7.1, Mandrake6.1, 7.1,8.0, Corel Linux, Caldera, Turbo Linux 6.0, Knoppix, Linux on a floppy ";)" and others. I have not had the liberty of trying Debian as of yet, but I may if I decide to make a box purely for server use as this is where I see Debian's best useage. This is not a message to get heated replies, but I have been using Linux for a while, and I feel the movement is finally getting what it deserves, commercials by a "Known leader in the computer world" What will we all say after the acquisition of Novell and SuSE and the newest release of Sun's Java start hitting the media, and we have better commercials. This is just the beginning folks. Take a deep breath because Linux is about to make a jump to the Desktop market and there will be newbies all around us, as well as games! I have been waiting for this moment since my first install in early 1998 of Red Hat 5.2 and my favorite irc chat room was on the linux.com server. Times have changed and we had better change with it, because it is us who are making the changes possible....
