Well I did the "tail -f /var/log/messages" thing and (remember the data parity error I was talking about last week) I got that data parity error I talked about last week. I then did "tail -n 100 /var/log/messages" and it was just my friendly data parity error. Now I'm doing -n 1000 and every line accept (1 below) what is at the bottom was data parity error? What could cause that? It says that it is SCSI 1 which (as shown in 2 below) is my cd-rom (I don't have a SCSI cd-rom). Well at least now I know it sees it (?) if it sees it as a CD-ROM.
