when I updated my os I was given a message to enter the following line in fstab: /proc/bus/usb none usbfs defaults 0 0 according to the article it should have been: none /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs defaults 0 0 Maybe that is what was wrong! Would you happen know which way is correct? If you could tell me I'll send a message to the synaptic people about that. Thanks for setting me straight. (I can't reboot my computer for a while) On Friday 02 January 2004 01:47 pm, Jim said: ~ Do you have usb-uhci, usb-storage and usbcore compiled in? ~ ~ If not see section "Configuring USB on Linux" in the URL below ~ ~ ~ http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=6867 ~ This message has been scanned for viruses by the VEI Internet Automatic Email Spam and Virus Scanner, and is believed to be free of spam or viruses.
