Gentoo is known for very good, clean, thorough documentation (including install). They even offer instructions on how to install from an already installed distro. Gentoo is GREAT with dependencies. It's also WONDERFUL for keeping up to date with packages, at least withing about a week. A simple `emerge sync;emerge -u world` will upgrade everything on your computer to the latest stable version. This includes the dependencies and any new ones that may arise. If you ever need Gentoo help, #gentoo @ FreeNode is there for you, as well am I (and others?) at #plugaz @ FreeNode.
