I have heard rumor that they are trying different routers again. The last time they tried this was 3 years ago, they found that the new ones were not as good as the Cisco routers so they went back to Cisco. Problem is they sign an agreement to use them for a 6 month trial before they can remove them.. I am less than 1/4 mile from thier North Scottsdale hub and I have been having mild outtages lately, but I haven't had any in all this time. I have had cox for just shy of 4 years now...
