Borland's Kylix is a wrapper around Qt and it's fairly powerful and easy to use. There's a free version and the commercial version is around $300 or $350 I think. It is definitely optimized around database applications. My one reservation is that tech support is not good; other than install support you get nothing at all for free. But there are a few Kylix books out there (hard to find in stores; you'll probably need to order them) and there are a few Kylix newsgroups that can be helpful.
