Sounds like you already have it configured for a Television, but not for a 
Plasma Monitor.  TV Out in the US will convert a monitor signal to NTSC TV 
signal (which is slightly smaller than 640x480).  To use your Plasma Monitor at 
resolutions higher than that you will need to hook it to something other than 
the TV Out of your graphics card and set it up as a Monitor.

Most Plasma TVs that I've seen have had at least a DVI input and some even have 
an SVGA input to allow them to be used as a computer monitor.  See if yours has 
either of those.
