I tend to have more issues with kde than with gnome. However I am a minimalist and I dont like the overhead and all the features that I dont need on kde and gnome so I use windowmaker with all my progs on my left click menu, clean, simple, fast, and stable. Its got cleaner draging between virtual desktops too. :) On Tue, 2003-11-11 at 16:33, Craig White wrote: > On Tue, 2003-11-11 at 15:02, betty wrote: > > ok, well, i've had it with kde and am going back to gnome. i have > > experimented with it for a few weeks now (seems like months). for the > > basic desktop stupid user (/yo/), it is not as friendly as gnome. also, > > it has independently crashed about 3 times now. this last time it just > > kept making konquerer windows open up. got up to 32 before i was able to > > shut it down. > > > > so if you're setting up linux for your mom, give her a break and use > > gnome ;-) > ----- > Interesting conclusion but I would like to point out that I have noticed > that the various implementations of Gnome & KDE have worked with varying > successes from time to time.
