Carl, windows fdisk utility will "not" recognize the Linux partitions. You must either use a utility called zap_hdd or use the linux install disks to create the dos file systems. Do this "ONLY" if you are going to get rid of Linux, as this will re-partition the drive, and you will lose linux. If you are trying to make it dual boot, use the Linux partition manager to create the dos partitions, however, windows prefers to be on c: although you can put it anywhere, but windows must be installed first as it has to reside in a dos based mbr......
