I read in the latest issue of the IEEE Computer Society Magazine that the group that is trying to implement UCITA 
dropped their efforts to get it passed.  They said that due fierce opposition from various groups they're dropping all 
their plans to get UCITA passed in any other states. 

I've been unable to verify this on the web or via other news sites.
Has anyone else heard of this?
