Technically you are right about the copyright. Practically, it = depends. David, did you create the pumpkin or did you borrow it. If you borrowed it, did it have a copyright symbol =A9 attached? While the creator has a right to the copyright (assuming the creator = was not an employee for a company for which the pumpkin was created), the = creator cannot enforce the copyright until such time as he/she notifies us of his/her desire to do so. He/she can notify us verbally, in writing or = by affixing the copyright symbol =A9 to the copyrighted property. =20 Once informed, we must quit using the copyrighted property or pay up. Therefore, if the creator didn't affix the copyright symbol =A9 to the = pumpkin I must assume that he/she does not wish to enforce his/her protection = under copyright law. That combined with the fact that many (if not most) people in the Linux community tend to share, I doubt we need to worry about copyright = unless the pumpkin has the copyright symbol =A9 affixed. Interesting thought. Since the pumpkin has the image of Tux on it, = does that mean that the pumpkin comes under GPL licensing. If so, where is = the source code? 8-)=20 Just a thought. That having been said, please do not infer that I am about getting = around copyright law. 'cause I am not!!! Further, I vote for the pumpkin (if not copyright issues). I think the = logo at the bottom servers it's purpose without shouting. I think it has = class.
