Messages from plug lists can be sorted in several ways: -All emails from the lists contain tags identifying the mail from an email list. For example, if you view the source of one of the list mails you will see these tags: List-Unsubscribe: , List-Id: Main PLUG discussion list. List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , List-Archive: KMail and many other clients automatically see these tags when you attempt to make a filter for the mail, asking if you want to filter as a mailing list. -All emails from the list are set with the Repy-To appropriate for the list, such as: Reply-To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us -All emails from the list are To: the appropriate list, such as: To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Any of these mail fields should be filter-able to make a filter and put the mail in whatever box you want. Maybe standard Windows clients or free web based email can only filter on the Subject line, which is what you are asking. Pesonally, I like it the way it is since the Subject line is kept shorter and the other fields work fine for filtering. I am on several 'lists' and this is the only one so far that I cannot immediately identify that the message relates to it. The other lists have a bracketed [Name] that gives me an indication that the message came thru that server and I might want to view it. Your messages just have the senders id and subject, which may not be readily discernable as to what it is about vs being spam. See the following 2k .gif that I made and put on my geocities.com site just for this as an example. As you can see, two are from framebuilders (a bicycle related building site) and one is from a friend of mine.. I immediately knew that the first and third one related to frame list. I suggest [Plug-discuss] for an addon. Maybe someone that has access to the 'address' line could add this function to the discuss list??? Just a thougt! geocities.com/eculbert/linux/plug.gif ===== Cyclists should expect and demand safe accommodation on our public roads, just as does every other user. Nothing more is expected.
