you need to go into the apt sources list and add the
marillat sources list site to your list, I use a
version of Knoppix called medialinux which has mplayer
installed, it also seems to have been cleaned up so
that apt-getting is more stable than knoppix, I was
able to install and upgrade packages without any of
the problems I had with knoppix....one note of
caution, some of the sources are for experimental packages....
