I'm not convinced that replacing the battery will do much to improve the accuracy of the clock, so I wouldn't bother replacing it. Instead, you might consider using ntpd to keep you machine's clock accurate when it's powered up and running Linux. Have it sync to the hardware clock on shutdown or reboot. Kevin
