The first thing I would check in terms of mozilla locking up your box 
would be java.  Is it enabled?  disable it.  How about javascript?  I have 
had very few problems with javascript, but you never know.  I *do* know 
java has been problematic, though.  Disable it and see if the lockups stop 
(and flash plugins, they suck, too).
