Ok, I see the gaim startup box with the Options button.
I don't get that unless I first signoff because I'm set
to auto-signon. I'd forgotten about that.

However, the Options button is nothing more than a link
to the Preferences window which, as I've described,
deals only with putting in HTML stuff.

There is also the ~/.gaimrc file. There is an block
called options { ... } with these font-related items:

	font_xfld { -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal-*-*-160-*-*-m-*-iso8859-9 }
	font_face { courier }
	font_size { 3 }

I've tried horsing with all of those. It makes no
difference.
