Since I have a couple upgrade woes with my Debian box, my vmware has been inop for about 2 weeks. Therefore, I can not fire up XP to check on some things. I have a simple question: I am trying to provide an upgrade path for a client of mine, and would like to roll out a MySQL server for him on the same Samba box I put in. Is it possible to populate some Excel "cells" from a MySQL db via ODBC? For instance, can I open Excel, populate a drop down menu of Cusotmer names stored in a MySQL db, and then have it populate cells x, y & z with the customer info? I am just looking for a "yes, it's easy", or "no, it's a p.i.t.a". v/r -mike
