So what do I do about this?? The dilemna is not that it wants to fulfill dependencies. The dilemna is that the default installs of those packages aren't new enough to fill the dependencies. Is this a Knoppix install? Have you fixed the sources.list? Change it to point to normal sources. See cafod for an example of what thos= e should be. https://www.LuftHans.com/unix/ Move the old /etc/apt/sources.list out of the way and drop in the one liste= d in cafod.
