My laptop is a Compaq Aramda 7792DMT with 96MB RAM, Pentium 266MHz processor and 5 GB hard drive. I've installed all major Linux distros on = it and they all have worked. The quickest Linux distro running on it is Mandrake 9.1 with ICEWM for the GUI. But for some reason, no version of Linux is as fast as Win2K Pro on it. =0D Mark=0D =0D -------Original Message-------=0D =0D From: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us=0D Date: Sunday, August 24, 2003 05:45:09 PM=0D To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us=0D Subject: Re: for the Slacker in you=0D =0D =0D I actually used to have a 300MHz, 64MB RAM IBM Thinkpad running (believe = it or=0D not) Gentoo. ...Then I ripped out the LCD display and am in the process o= f=0D working it into a nifty case mod. =3D)=0D =0D --=0D Zack Gilburd=0D http://tehunlose.com=0D GnuPG Key ID: A79A45668240AB6C=0D =0D =20
