In addition to my vmware failing to start any longer, I can not get thru a upgrade (normally runs on cron). Here is the messages I get: Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... I'm going to configure the packages that were installed. This may result in duplicate errors or errors caused by missing dependencies. This is OK, only the errors above this message are important. Please fix them and run [I]nstall again Press enter to continue. Normally, I just wait a few days, do another 'apt-get update', and the offending packages have been "fixed" and I continue on my merry way. This paticualr message has persisted for over a week. And, I still have no vmware (gcc problem?). Any ides on how to fix? v/r -mike
