I have the "Ask for ID" on my credit cards. Fry's Electronics is one of the few stores that ALWAYS checks. Many stores let me swipe the card in a reader on the checkout and put it away without ever showing it. Especially bad are the stores that have the self service checkouts. About two years ago a Wal-Mart (Bell and 59th Ave) cashier told me anyone who hasn't reported the cards stolen deserves to have them used. Naturally, she did not check. At another Wal-mart (Christown) the same day I was asked for ID before they even started to ring up the purchases. -----Original Message----- From: David A. Maybe less than jack. It's sort of amusing the things he did, but the *all* worked, including "X -----". Maybe he was just lucky. Maybe clerks are lazy. Which is more likely? Yah.
