There's a reason why the CAD boxes are usually the heaviest loaded boxes (except servers sometimes) and part of that reason is the bandwidth to do all that gfx work. --=20 Bryce C CoBryce Communications --=-cS6qD+U+yRBZFrqBvKnu Content-Disposition: inline Content-Description: Forwarded message - LTSP w/ Windows apps Content-Type: message/rfc822 Return-Path: Delivered-To: mail.bryceconet.plug@localhost.cobryce.com Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by cobryce.myvnc.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id B0BCD9DFB5 for ; Fri, 18 Jul 2003 17:39:07 -0700 (MST) Envelope-to: plug@bryceco.net Delivery-date: Fri, 18 Jul 2003 20:38:55 -0400 Received: from 66.103.137.65 by localhost with POP3 (fetchmail-5.9.7) for mail.bryceconet.plug@localhost (single-drop); Fri, 18 Jul 2003 17:39:07 -0700 (MST) Received: from wsip-68-14-243-59.ph.ph.cox.net ([68.14.243.59] helo=pluglist.macrosift.com) by sh2.1-sh.com with esmtp (Exim 3.36 #1) id 19dfkV-0006eb-00 for plug@bryceco.net; Fri, 18 Jul 2003 20:38:55 -0400 Received: from lists.plug.phoenix.az.us (plug [127.0.0.1]) by pluglist.macrosift.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id C04A81A74C7; Fri, 18 Jul 2003 17:48:04 -0700 (MST) Delivered-To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Received: from MRS.ISPserver.BlackBerry.NET (BBP40.blackberry.net [206.51.26.40]) by pluglist.macrosift.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3DADC1A72E8 for ; Fri, 18 Jul 2003 17:47:19 -0700 (MST) Content-type: text/plain From: "simply service" Importance: Normal MIME-Version: 1.0 Subject: LTSP w/ Windows apps To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Message-Id: <20030719004719.3DADC1A72E8@pluglist.macrosift.com> Sender: plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Errors-To: plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us X-BeenThere: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.13 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us X-Reply-To: "simply service" List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: Main PLUG discussion list. More specifically, Quickbooks 2003 Multiuser (needs a separate "workstation" installation per = user) (3 need it in our case) TransactIt (TCP/IP credit card processing app for Win32) AutoCad 1 user only UPS WorldShip software (utilizes a special printer) (many users preferably) Wine doesn't play well with QB 2003, VNC is ok, but we will need 3 addition= al systems minimum, Windows Terminal Server would work, but its too expensi= ve. Any ideas? Thanks.
