I have been using Mozilla on W2K/XP since the early milestones and I *always* installed over the previous installation. It finally bit me in the butt when going from 1.4b to 1.4RC3. That is when the spell checker cause a problem.. At some point, the Mozilla ppl have to make a process where you can upgrade without deleting the previous installed version > Many common mozilla problems are actually caused by poor installation. > Make sure that your old copy of mozilla is completely removed prior to > installing the new one.
