I found a work-around for this issue. When printing via `lpr`, I can use `pr file.name | lpr` and the last line of each page is no longer missing. `pr` has a variety of options, page length for example, but the default options did the trick for me. When printing from emacs I found a margin adjustment. I found it under the Top level customization group/Postscript/Ps Print/Vertical/Ps Bottom Margin. I set it to 54. The variable in my .emacs initialization file is 'ps-bottom-margin 54'. Now I get my source code printed with syntax highlighting. I'm sure there are other work-arounds but this works for me. Remarkably, several other list-archives I searched had this same problem but no one was kind enough to post a solution. Now this list has one. Bart >>> I have a problem when I print. The printable area for my printer stops about 11/16" from the bottom of the page but my system thinks it stops 1/2" from the bottom - effectively omitting the last line of each page. This problem occurs every time I print except when I'm using an app that has margin adjustments available. I'm using RedHat 8, LPRng 3.8.9, my printer is a hp697c accessed via samba. Does anyone know if this adjustment is even possible? I'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction, I've already searched through the lp* man pages, and the printcap man page but nothing caught my eye.
