The only thing VFP and Access have in common is they both come from MS. VFP is a full featured database development environment in it's own right. It has it's own engine, not the Jet engine. While Access is only good for up to 5 to 10 users, VFP can handle 50 to 100 with no problem. And it is fast. -----Original Message----- From: plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us [mailto:plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us]On Behalf Of Trent Shipley Sent: Sunday, June 15, 2003 7:28 AM To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Subject: Re: mysql vs. postgresql I thought VFP was built over the JET database engine just like Access?
