Loaded RH 8.0 on a friends (boss's son) machine.  Used KDE instead of the
default GNOME.  Linux is the only OS.  The friend (Rob) took the machine
home and is unable to connect to his internet provider, COX.  Haven't talked
to Rob, only his father.

Does anyone have suggestions as to where to start looking before I call him?
