o tts/0=2E I'm perty sure that is incorrect=2E
ln -s /dev/ttyS4 /dev/modem

or

ln -s /dev/ttyS2 /dev/modem

or

ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/modem

No, ou do not link the modem to kppp=2E kppp, I believe, is a gui program
which allows you to set up ppp properly=2E Part of set up is to tell ppp
where your modem is located=2E Set it up so that it is always /dev/modem=2E

Then you link the actual device to /dev/modem=2E /dev/modem is nothing but
a symbolic link to the actual device=2E


whatever works (ttySX)
