George, Per your (and several others) message, cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward returned a "0". Per Bill Jonas (thanks bill) echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward fixed it for the time. However, after a reboot it goes back to "0". How do I set this to 1 at start? Any suggestions Thanks George -----Original Message----- Message: 3 Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2003 19:44:08 -0500 From: George Toft To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Subject: Re: My Router Isn't Reply-To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us George Gambill wrote: > = > Trying to set up a router (RH8) between a 192.168.100.0/255.255.255.0 s= ubnet > and a 10.1.0.0/255.255.0.0 subnet. > = ... snip ... > = > Using Webmin on the router (gwg) and looking at the firewall, it shows = under > "packet filtering": > "FORWARD" default "Accept" with no other rules > "INPUT" default "Accept" with no other rules > "OUTPUT" default "Accept" with no other rules > = > Any ideas why I can't ping nowhere (10.1.1.66) from winslow > (192.168.100.253)? > = > George > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss Hi George, What is the status of IP Forwarding on the router (gwg)? cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
