If the kernel goes all the way through a build process just to have it state that there is a problem with a module (error is gone now, this question for future clarification) (I think the error said something like depmod sis and some numbers), is it still safe to use that kernel with the exception of that particular module?  Or should I redo:
make dep && make bzImage modules modules_install

???
