Trying to set up a router (RH8) between a 192.168.100.0/255.255.255.0 subnet and a 10.1.0.0/255.255.0.0 subnet. Hosts involved are winslow 192.168.100,253 gwg 192.168.100.252 (eth0) gwg 10.1.1.68 (eth1) nowhere 10.1.1.66 >From winslow (aka 192.168.100.253) I can ping: gwg (aka itself) 192.168.100.252 (aka GWG eth0) 10.1.1.68 (aka GWG eth1) but not: nowhere (aka 10.1.1.66) 10.1.1.66 (aka nowhere) >From GWG (the router) I can ping: winslow (aka 192.168.100.253) 192.168.100.253 (aka winslow eth0) gwg (aka itself) 192.168.100.252 (aka itself eth0) 10.1.1.68 (aka itself eth1) nowhere (aka 10.1.1.66) 10.1.1.66 (aka nowhere) from nowhere (aka 10.1.1.66) I can ping: gwg 10.1.1.68 192.168.100.252 but not: winslow 192.168.100.253 Using Webmin on the router (gwg) and looking at the firewall, it shows under "packet filtering": "FORWARD" default "Accept" with no other rules "INPUT" default "Accept" with no other rules "OUTPUT" default "Accept" with no other rules Any ideas why I can't ping nowhere (10.1.1.66) from winslow (192.168.100.253)?
