Since last summer, we have been hosted on tangent.dune.net, a really great ISP that has backed our efforts to develop a suite of Java-based apps we'd like to freely share with anyone who is interested. The current economic climate as well as nasty denial of service attacks against tangent have us concerned about the future. We've been told that weeks or months from now, dune.net may be forced to shut down operations. We very much hope that that won't happen, but we'd like to take some precautions and find another host where we can replicate at least our intranet so that our development efforts can keep going uninterrupted. Even if dune.net survives long into the future, we would really love to have another reliable server that we can use to assist with our development work. Since we're going to be making heavy use of networking throughout our products, having a second server would really help us out a lot and hopefully allow us to implement failover should dune.net not pull through. What we need is a host running the latest Apache web server, PHP, CVS pserver, and the Orion Java app server. We need a couple of shell accounts for our two environments (development and production), and a couple of user accounts for admin purposes. Since ours is a volunteer effort, we don't have any money to offer, but we'd be glad to help in any other way that we can. If you'd like to learn more about what we're doing, you can have a look at http://dev.noumenaut.com , or you can listen to a failed audio experiment (Real Audio format) that nevertheless conveys the basics and may even make you laugh a little. :) Thanks a lot!
