I can't seem to get the USB stuff (mass storage/uchi) to load=20 > automagically, when I try to mount a CF card. Any ideas? (BTW, it does wo= rk=20 > if I load the modules manually, which is a pain. I compiled those modules= =20 > into my old -19 kernel, out of sheer frustration.) There is kinda two questions here. 1) To set up modules to autoload on boot you need to put them in your /etc/modules.conf. This will tell your system what to load on boot up. 2) To set up modules to autoload when you plug in a device you need to look in /etc/hotplug. Now, depending on the device you are trying to plug in, I'm guessing that no one has entered the USB device id's into the tree that RedHat is using. You can find a complete listing for Linux at http://linux-usb.org but that doesn't mean that it's in RedHat. (There was a better site somewhere, but I can't find it, if someone knows the URL please post it). How do you find said ids? The best way is to look in /var/log/messages as you plug in the device. You'll see a lot of test scroll by and that will have your devices in it. You'll probably also see a message that it wasn't recognized. Feel free to e-mail us if you have more questions.
