=2D----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I write everything on my laptop, but when I compile it, I often compile and= =20 install it in a virtual machine so it doesn't change anything on my laptop,= =20 until I am happy it works the way I want it to.=20 But, I want to know what speed everything is working at in the virtual=20 machine. My development box is a piii 933, but what is the actual speed of the=20 processor inside the vm? is it still 933? Or is it slower because everythin= g=20 is emulated? Things seem to take twice as long in the VM than physically on= =20 the same machine. The machine has 256 ram, and the vm is using 128... would= =20 that make that much of a difference? Does anyone know any tools to test the cpu speed? nathan =2D --=20 Nathan England Arcanum Linux ! nathan at the-arcanum.org jabber id: linuxjunkie@jabber.earth.li "A free society is one where it is safe to be unpopular." =2D --Adlai Stevenson Registered Linux User #189789, Machine #106603 www.sincerechoice.org Spam related material will be forwarded to: uce@ftc.gov =2D----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+OJxEQ7yNnsYcupwRAqPUAJ4mLYtQTR/fGpZEiqzqS2ez3f/7xwCgmQRb BDcSbYS0amyZ3Y+v1NQCSNY=3D =3DGLcd =2D----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
