Since both URLs you posted lead to the same page, it sounds like you have a username/password problem. If you're sure this isn't the problem then: What did the school's tech support tell you? What are the parameters you used for your Win98 setup? It's not clear how you're logging into the system through Win98, is it with your browser or outlook, or something else? Bart -----Original Message----- By configuring Netscape 4 in Caldera Open Linux 1.3 to access a pcmail e-mail account, using the same parameters as in my Win98 setup, I can connect and reach the point at which the pcmail server asks for the e-mail login, but "Login failed" then appears when the password is entered. Since the same thing happens with Netscape 6 in Slackware 8.1, this is probably not a bug in Caldera. Is there a way to make it work? -------- A clue that might help locate the problem is the following: 1) the alternate, web-page method of accessing pcmail via http://www.pc.maricopa.edu/information/index.html choosing the WebMail option, and entering Username and Password when prompted, also refuses to permit access, but 2) from the web page http://email2.dist.maricopa.edu:8080/mail/main?domain= pcmail.maricopa.edu&lan (which requires inserting a "pc" to the left of the domain name "mail.maricopa.edu" in the Username box), I can log in OK. --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
