Related topic - kinda.

I have mastered recording mp3 streams from my favorite internet radio
station, and need to trim them down to fit on a CD.  How would one slice
up 2-4 GB mp3's into 700 MB mp3's?  No bitrate change is required - I
just want to slice and relabel.  Something scriptable is preferred, but
if I have to use a GUI, I will.

I guess the easy answer would be not to make them so big - write a
script that records for 650 or 700 MB, then start a new file.  Maybe
I'll write it this weekend.  Anyone want a copy?
