Allows me to flip them on and know what= I=20 am getting into before I leave the parking lot. Has helped me a couple t= imes=20 to not buy a paperweight. Also, doing some research on the "crappy old=20 laptop linux howtos" on the 'net can let you know about models to grab an= d=20 models to let slide. In the end, the swap meet is a way for me to feed m= y=20 gadget hobby at slighter cheaper than market rates.
