Dennis, When I ran this laptop under Windows 95 all the pcmcia slots were interchangeable. I could put the network card or hard drive in any of them and they would work. I am pretty sure the problem lies with the OS. Seems like alot. Look closely at the slots to see if one is maked with a symbol indicating that it is CardBus. All your slots may not support 32bit.
