I agree that HP makes nice printers, but Jim's already got the Epson. :-)

And, I'll admit too, that the HP does better, blacker text since it has 
pigment rather than dye ink.

But the Stylus 600 is a good, cheap printer which works well under Linux AND 
www.extracartridges.com sells Chinese knockoffs of the cartridges for under 
$7 each!
