My $.02 worth: I installed RH8.0 (from download) and had no problems whatsoever. A number of people on this list reported similar experiences. So I suspect the problem has something to do with that particular individual's setup. Note that he went from 7.2 to 8.0, bypassing 7.3. Don't know if that's part of the problem or not.
