But if I do that how am I supposed to sync my visor? > ---- I was thinking that if you ran 'killev' then it would end any processes that might already be connecting to /dev/pilot (/dev/ttyS0) Assuming that your visor is indeed plugged into COM1 and that there is a link from /dev/pilot to /dev/ttyS0 as I had previously indicated, then starting evolution, Selecting "Pilot Settings" from the Tools menu, Selecting your pilot, and clicking the "Edit" button - click OK and click OK. Then push the 'hotsync' button on the cradle should make it work. If that doesn't work, then I would have to wonder if the serial port settings were correct. Craig
